Ministries We Support
Prison Fellowship® is the nation’s largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and their families, and a leading advocate for criminal justice reform. After his incarceration, Chuck Colson felt led by God to honor a promise he made to remember his fellow prisoners and their families. That promise grew into Prison Fellowship®. Today, through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, it helps transform those who once broke the law, mobilizing them to serve their communities and replace the cycle of crime with a cycle of renewal.
“In Matthew 25, Jesus says, ‘I was in prison, and you visited me.’ He calls upon His followers to minister to those who are behind bars. In other words, we will be judged in part by the way we treat those who are in prison. The fact that a man has committed a crime, and is paying the price, does not mean that he forfeits his God-given dignity.” ~ Chuck Colson
PRISON FELLOWSHIP’S® VISION To see all affected by crime reconciled to God, their families, and their communities. Prison Fellowship® believes that a restorative approach to prisoners, former prisoners, and all those affected by crime and incarceration can make communities safer and healthier. Their ministry is founded on the conviction that all people are created in God’s image and that no life is beyond God’s reach. As Christians, they believe that Jesus — Himself brought to trial, executed, buried, and brought to life again — offers hope, healing, and a new purpose for each life. He can make even the most broken people and situations whole again. MAKING A DIFFERENCE BY GIVING TO PRISON FELLOWSHIP® >> #RememberThoseInPrison #JusticeThatRestores #ThinkOutsideTheBars
