We are a community of Christian Creators – authors, writers, course creators, freelancers, consultants, artists, graphic artists, and designers.
Our goal is to continue to build God’s Kingdom by expanding our community of believers who use the gifts and talents – that God has blessed them with – to create while ministering to people through their creative works. Part of that includes providing valuable Christian faith-based content that will uplift believers and bring unbelievers to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are to let our light shine so others will see our good works and glorify God! [Matthew 5:16]
Becoming one of our guest bloggers / contributors is an excellent way for you to get your content seen. It can help you bring awareness to your brand creations – Christian books, articles, courses, artwork, and services. Contributing to blogs other than your own can also help you generate leads.
What Does A Guest Blogger / Contributor Do?
As a guest blogger / contributor you will have the opportunity to submit articles to the Prayer Closet Shop once a week or once a month. Your articles will need to be reviewed by Prayer Closet Shop before they are posted, but once approved, your article will be posted on our blog. Articles will be posted on a first-come-first-serve basis with some exceptions such as content that may be time-sensitive (think holidays or event-specific posts). Your articles will need to adhere to our content and contributor guidelines listed below.
What Type Of Content Does The Prayer Closet Shop Accept?
We only accept guest articles that are Christian faith-based. Some great topics include information that is useful for believers in Jesus Christ, content that will lead non-believers to salvation in Jesus Christ, creator how-to’s that lead readers to sign up for your courses or services, Bible studies, information on Christian conferences, Christian book fairs, and Christian events.
What Is Considered Not Acceptable Content?
Ministry gossip, anything about so-called “celebrities,” news, content that includes profanity, nudity, and anything that would grieve our Heavenly Father are not acceptable for content on our website. If you are unsure if your content would be a fit, please fill out the application, and we will be happy to let you know. You may also refer to the following scripture. It will clarify what things grieve God.
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” ~ Proverbs 6:16-19
How Does Being A Guest Blogger / Contributor Benefit You?
At Prayer Closet Shop we love to give back and support God’s people. Of course, your guest content will help build our community and keep our blog updated, but it can also help you drive traffic to your website, books, courses, artwork, products, and services. Again, our goal is to build God’s Kingdom and that includes helping other believers generate leads and grow their businesses. Creators can become thought leaders in their industry through guest blogging.

You will need to fill out this form and submit it. We will review your information and get back to you shortly. Please note that we would love to accept all guest blogger / contributor applicants, however, we have specific criteria we are looking for therefore we will not be able to approve all applications.

Will I Get Paid To Be A Guest Blogger / Contributor on the Prayer Closet Shop Blog?
We do not offer monetary compensation for guest blogging. We are a community that believes in sharing other creators’ content. Therefore, we will link back to your website and display your social media handles. We will also share your posts on our social media, which in turn may generate additional traffic and followers for you.
Will You Be Required To Promote Your Blog Posts?
Though it is not a requirement, it is recommended that you promote your content. It will be a big help if we all share each other’s content. That will not only help build the Prayer Closet Shop Community, but it will also bring awareness to all of our Christian creators and contributors. As stated above, it will help us build the Kingdom of God! So once your articles are approved and published, make sure you share all of your posts with your email list and on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and any other social media channels that you are on – and more specifically where your target audience is.
If I Am Accepted As a Guest Blogger / Contributor, How Will I Know When My Articles Have Been Posted?
After you are accepted as a guest blogger and begin submitting articles, you will receive an email each time one of your articles has been published on Prayer Closet Shop’s blog.
CONTENT AND CONTRIBUTOR GUIDELINES:
To reach our goal of building God’s Kingdom through content creation, we ask that our guest bloggers / contributors follow the guidelines below:
POSTS:
- must be Christian faith-based content.
- should be at least 300 words.
- may include copyright-free images, videos, and/or links that are relevant and benefit our community and those that consume your content as well.
- should be informational and helpful.
- should be ready to publish when you submit them for final review.
- requiring a lot of editing may be rejected.
- should not contain another person’s work, quotes, or ideas without permission, and with permission, it must give credit to the original author.
- may take up to a week to be published depending on how many submissions were received before yours.
- may be reformatted or edited during the publishing process.
- that are saturated with keywords will be deemed as keyword stuffed, and will be rejected.
- should not include links to affiliate programs.
- must not be overly promotional. To use a promotion in your posts, include up to two image- or text-based call-to-action either within the body of the post or at the end of your post.
Acceptable Calls-to-Action are:
- a link to your website.
- a link to follow you on social media.
- a link to a free or paid course.
- a link to a registration page for an in-person or online event.
- a link to join your mailing list or email archive.
- a link to a subscription.
- a link to downloadable content such as (checklists, ebooks, printables, how-to guides, etc.).
- a link to a survey or poll.
LINKS:
- must lead to content relevant to the post and be valuable to our audience. Links that are not relevant will be removed.
- may include those listed above in the ‘Acceptable Calls-to-Action’ section.
- may not be affiliate or sponsored links.
BIOS AND AVATARS:
Author bios and avatars for bloggers / contributors should be in the user profile only. If the post has more than one contributor, the post will be published under the name of the person who created the contributor account. The other authors’ names can be included at the beginning or end of the post.
GUEST BLOGGER / CONTRIBUTOR NOTES:
- We have the right to refuse any request to become a blogger / contributor to the Prayer Closet Shop blog.
- We have the right to reject any post / article submission for the Prayer Closet Shop blog.
- Not all bloggers / contributors will be approved.
- Not all posts / articles will be accepted.
- You may resubmit rejected posts / articles only after you have thoroughly proofread and edited them.
- You are responsible for all content you submit.
- We have the right to change our content and contributor guidelines at any time. You are responsible for checking back here for any changes made to these guidelines.
- Once you create your contributor account, you are agreeing to adhere to these content and contributor guidelines.
- We have the right to revoke a contributor’s account for any reason and at any time.
